A reactive lighting storefront instalation (done @ briGHTline)

This was a product made upon request of a high-end clothing store owner. The client wanted a place holder for the stickers of the brands the store carries to be prominent, but in a way that would differentiate her store from the others in the vicinity.

Its diferentiating feature is its ability to detect movement, therefore becoming a reactive instalation, rather than an interactive one.

Its normal functioning mode is to display colored light, changing constantly, like a moodlamp.

However, when it detects movement (i.e. someone passing in front of the shop window) it will react. The reaction is intended to grab the attention of the passer by. The behaviour is one that turns the coloured light into white light, therefore becoming a distinguishable reaction.

All its working aspects - colour's gamma, behaviour to the movement, working hours - are controlled wirelessly through a client-side software installed on the store's desktop.
